Plazmaman’s Tube & Fin replacement intercooler is designed to suit the Mitsubishi Lancer, Evo 7-9 (CT9A) models.
This replacement intercooler is manufactured using a high quality lightweight 500mm x 300mm x 76mm Tube & Fin intercooler core, capable of flowing up to 900hp. This intercooler core is one of the highest quality cores on the market, and weighs in at just under 7.4kg, making it one of the lightest and best recovering intercoolers on the market. We guarantee it to outperform any similar 500mm wide OEM replacement style intercoolers on the market.
Not wanting to stray too far from Mitsuibishi’s basic intercooler concept, we concentrated on creating an intercooler suited to more consistent power. By using the basic OEM style of core, we chose larger air flow tubes, retaining a similar internal and external fin arrangement for maximum heat dispersion. A special angle and thickness of fin arrangement is also used to maximize the flow capacity of the core. As this is an OEM replacement intercooler, it suits the factory intercooler piping, or Plazmaman aftermarket piping kits. It will also work along side our inlet manifolds.
This competition intercooler piping kit is to suit the Mitsubishi Evo 7-9 (CT9A) models.
This intercooler piping kit replaces factory piping and hoses from the throttle body, all the way to the turbocharger outlet. A smoother and larger internal diameter cast aluminium turbocharger outlet pipe is also included in this kit, which results in an instant power increase over the OEM piping. This piping kit is compatible with the OEM intercooler, or our aftermarket bolt in upgrade intercooler. Completely constructed from CNC aluminium mandrel bent piping, this kit prevents any flex or compression under high RPM and boost levels, and the pipes are larger and smoother than the factory piping. Advantages of running an internally smooth hard pipe is that it encourages earlier turbo spool up and better throttle response throughout the rev range.
**NOTE – Please specify if the vehicle retains the OEM SAS (secondary air system) or using an aftermarket manifold with the SAS removed.**
The kit can be used with a number of aftermarket air inlet pipes, OEM battery and factory airbox.
